Friend and artist Sharon Kallis, and her artist-arm-candy Mr. Fire-Man, picked me up en route to Richmond tonight for the opening of Fibred Optics at the Richmond Art Gallery.

Here’s my 20-word abstract:

Four Canadian artists curated into a grand collection of uber obsessive textile-based work sublime in its attention to detail.

It was both a good mix and nice balance of artists/artworks. I haven’t been to an exhibit as inspiring in I-can’t-remember-when.

Trust me…it is well worth the trip.
