Everything but the kitchen sink (is working)

We have been without the use of our kitchen faucet for a few days now. The cartridge in our bottom-of-the-line Moen decided it’s duty was done and that was that.

Funny how losing access to something convenient like water-on-demand can completely derail you if you take it for granted. Basic tasks like making coffee or cleaning up after a meal become complicated. Washing dishes in the bathtub is finicky (and probably seriously unhygienic). The flow of daily routine is offset – your whole chi is wrenched out of alignment.

I caught myself being an effin’ princess – there are many folk who don’t have access to water…at all…ever. Or coffee or food for that matter.

How coddled you can become living in the First World.
