L53 (Monday – posthumous)

An early morning flight gets me to Edmonton International Airport late morning where I am graciously picked up by Latitude 53‘s Program Officer, April Dean.

We head straight to the gallery, pop out for a quick lunch, and I begin the fun job of unpacking (Canada Post, once again, has delivered – all six boxes and tube arrived the previous week in excellent condition).

Already in the gallery are a variety of plinths – all freshly painted on Saturday by some dedicated volunteers.

My goal for today is to get everything unpacked and to settle on placement of the major pieces.

Tomorrow will begin with building two new plinths to support People In My Neighbourhood.

(yes, I’m using every plinth L53 had and still need more)

Tomorrow: installation continues!
