Yes, it’s that time of year again…

The time of year when you sift through your mental To Do list and tally regrets: those missed gallery deadlines and unfulfilled studio goals. The time of year when the judges that live in your head (the ones that resemble your mother, your ex, and your grade 8 science teacher) start dishing out expert opinion like it was Canadian Idol and your performance was uber-lame. The time of year when you start measuring yourself against fellow art school graduates and lamenting that you will only be eligible to be nominated for the Sobey Award for one more year – after that you will be officially too old.

Yes, the half-way point of another year is fast approaching and slipping past.
Damn, I have a lot of work to do.
