On my way home from work tonight I cut through Sears en route to the Skytrain. The music playing over the intercom was Pink Floyd’s The Wall.
The Wall being played in the mall. WTF!? What kind of messed up irony is that? It wasn’t playing loudly, of course, but kind of soft and in the background…the absolute opposite of how The Wall should be listened to.
What’s next? Iron Maiden in the elevator? Violent Femmes headlining a Coppertone ad – “Don’t Blister In the Sun”?
