The End Is Near(ish)

Slowly but surely the studio is looking less like a contractor’s workshop/storage locker and more like, well, a studio.

This past week saw the reinstatement of the hall closet.

As much as Andrew and I both wanted the orientation of the closet to be different, it was most efficient to simply build it back in its original configuration.  Same old, same old…but built better and with more care to detail than the former closet.

While the studio is in mess-mode I’m keeping myself busy, falling back into the bat project (which, at the moment, takes less physical space and mental effort than experimenting with silk screening on t-shirts ;-)).

…and turned.

The tiny pile above contains 210 bat bodies.

Such a small, insignificant stack right now.  Once they are stuffed and assembled they will command more of a presence.

This week will be a break from the studio and reno’s to enjoy the last of the summer holidays.

Next week? Cutting and assembling the remaining pantry pieces and embroidering hands.

Are you due for a break?  How do you plan on commemorating the end of summer?
