This Is What I Miss
Woke up to a beautiful, sunny fall day in London.
I haven’t experienced an Ontario fall in over 16 years. Autumn is my favourite time of year.
I tried to plan this trip so that I would be here at the peak of the season. I envisioned myself strolling down the path at Springbank Park amid a blaze of red, orange, and yellow foliage, a colourful carpet crunching satisfactorily beneath my feet.
Unfortunately, more rain and a warmer than usual September delayed the turning of the leaves and the only thing being crunched underfoot on the path were the hordes of wooly-bear caterpillars migrating to only they-knew-where.
Still, it is nice to be in London this time of year with the sunshine and crisp air.
