Sunday Show & Tell # 15

Beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder. Lately, I’ve been taken with the hair that has become embedded in Elvis’ dog coat.
Elvis Coat

He, on the other hand, is not as impressed.  No amount of machine washing will dislodge the loose hairs that have woven their way into the polar fleece lining.  This section of the coat rests on his delicate throat, and I can understand his reluctance to wear it. The hairs are quite bristle-y. I mean, who wants to be repeatedly poked in the neck by a million little barbs? Instead of protecting him from the elements it is more like a punishment – a hair shirt.

Beautiful pattern, though. Brings to mind metal shavings and magnets.  Makes me nostalgic for my printmaking days and the unique visual quality that you can only achieve in an etching.
