The Sound of Music
Something I’ve been working on while I’ve been absent from my post (sorry, pun just happened, couldn’t be helped) is honing my musical adroitness. Seeing as I didn’t really have much to begin with, there can only be room for improvement. Those kind of odds appeal to me.
I’ve always wanted to learn to play the piano. Over the last 7 months I’ve been practicing scales, learning to read sheet music, and working my way through The Royal Conservatory of Music’s Grade 1 workbook on Andrew’s full-size electric piano.
Listen to me rip through a little ditty composed by Hassler sometime in the late 18th, early 19th century (apologies for the poor-ish sound quality – I recorded it through my Mac’s mic using GarageBand).
