Viva Las Federico’s!

Just back from the Northern Voice Social Media pre-conference soiree at Federico’s Supper Club.  I didn’t really know what to expect.

It was, in fact, a delightful evening.

Dress code: gangsta glam.

Food was exceptional. I can’t remember the last time I had a meal arrive at a restaurant where everything on the plate was done to perfection. This fact is made way more impressive knowing that they were serving 180+ guests pretty much at the same time.

The invite implied dinner and dancing, but I had no idea that Federico himself was going to provide the synth-style-retro karaoke infused musical accompaniment.  Without a doubt the highlight of the eve was a disco version of Phantom of the Opera, performed with white mask and lots of evil villain laughter.

Yes, I sang.  Yes, I danced.  How could you not?
