I Never Thought I’d Say It, But…

I received my BC Climate Action Dividend in the mail today.

I wasn’t even aware that the government of BC had decided to hand out money (yeah, that’s how freakin’ observant I am regarding the political machinations of my province).

Sure it’s only a one time deal, but I’ll take what they’re giving and be glad of it. The informational flyer enclosed with the cheque asks, “How will you spend your $100.00?” Good question. I’ve already switched over to compact flourescents, had a new energy efficient water heater installed, and insulated the windows.

I quite like that I can justify spending the 100 clams on a new pair of shoes, considering that it is an investment in the mode of transportation I use most…
