Will the Madness Never End?!

Several billboards in my area are advertising the latest trend in fast food, and I’m tellin’ ya, it’s not pretty.

Seems as though the Big M couldn’t handle Timmy’s chicken snack wrap and had to one-up them. Enter the Mac Wrap.

Dammit, people. It’s a Big Mac in a tortilla. The patty’s just been cut in half.

Why?

Why? Why? Why?

What is it with the constant re-fitting and re-branding of products? It’s not just fast food either.

The company that manufactures my favourite deodorant brand keeps “upgrading” formulas. In the time it’s taken me to go through a stick – one I quite liked, by the way – the company has changed the product no less than three times. Seeing they didn’t make the formula I preferred anymore, I tried one of the new-and-improved versions.

I don’t like it. Nope. Not one bit.

I wish corporations would quit trying to hoard all of the market pie for themselves by constantly trying to out-do one another and just manufacture good, reliable, consistent products.

If you make donuts, just make donuts.  Good donuts.

If you make burgers, just make burgers.  Good burgers.

If you make wraps, just make wraps.  Real wraps – not hamburger patties cut in half.

Really, is it too much to ask?
